I’ve been a big fan of “think in systems, not goals” for a long time.

I’ve had several managers who thought in goals and didn’t want to see the benefits of this.

“Goals, goals, goals!!”.

SMART Goals.

Checking stuff off of ‘the list’.

That’s how they saw the world. Everything was a checkbox.

And these same people would say that building software for clients was about people.
