When I read or hear “I pushed up a non-trivial PR”, I understand that as “I couldn’t be bothered to do this work in a safe way by making small changes that worked at every step, so now I’m offloading understanding all the changes of 50+ files onto YOU! Good luck!”.

I’d argue this is pure laziness and shows a lack of discipline in the craft.

Then again, I think a PR process is a lack of discipline as well, but that’s another story.
